In this guide learn about:
We've added a sign-in code to help keep your account safe. After you enter your password, we email you a 6-digit code to complete your login. It takes a few seconds, and there's nothing to set up.
What a sign-in code is
A sign-in code is a 6-digit number we send to the email address on your Storypark account. Enter it after your password so we know it's really you logging in.
The code is valid for 10 minutes.
You don't need to set anything up or install anything.
You'll need access to the email address on your account.
Who needs a sign-in code
If we ask for a sign-in code when you log in with your email and password, this guide is for you. Some people log in a different way and won't be asked:
Educators who log in with single sign-on (SSO). You log in through your organisation, as you do now.
Administrators at a service that uses multi-factor authentication. You keep using your multi-factor authentication prompt.
Login with a sign-in code
On the web
Go to Storypark and enter your email and password. If you're asked to complete a reCAPTCHA check, do that first.
Tap Log in.
Open the email we send you and find your 6-digit code.
Enter the code on the Storypark page. You can paste the full code into the box.
Tap Continue.
In the Storypark app
When you enter your email in the Storypark Families or Educators app, a log in page opens inside the app. It works the same way as the web page.
Open the app and enter your email.
On the login page that opens, enter your password and complete the reCAPTCHA check if prompted.
Tap Log in.
Open the email we send you and find your 6-digit code.
Enter the code, then tap Continue.

Stay on the same Wi-Fi or mobile network until you've entered your code. If your connection changes partway through, go back and start logging in again.
If you see an "Update the Storypark app" page, your app is out of date, and you'll need to update it before you can log in. Read Update the Storypark app so you can keep logging in.
If your code doesn't arrive
Most codes arrive within a minute. If yours hasn't:
Check your spam or junk folder.
Check the email address on the code page. It shows part of the address we sent your code to, and it needs to be one you can access.
Wait a minute, then tap Send again to get a new code.
If there's still no code after 5 minutes, contact us at hello@storypark.com.
Each time you tap Send again, use the newest email. Older codes stop working.
FAQs
Do I need to set anything up?
No. There's nothing to turn on, download or install. We send the code to the email address already on your account.
How long does my code last?
10 minutes. If it runs out, go back and log in again, or tap Send again for a new code.
My code doesn't work. What should I do?
Check that you're using the newest email, that you've entered all 6 digits, and that it's been less than 10 minutes. You can also paste the whole code into the box. If it still doesn't work, tap Send again.
Is a sign-in code the same as multi-factor authentication?
No. Multi-factor authentication is a separate step for administrators at services that use it, and those administrators keep using it. Read Educators: Multi-factor authentication.
I log in with SSO. Do I need a sign-in code?
No. You log in through your organisation. Read Educators: Logging into Storypark with Single Sign-On (SSO).
Why does my code say it was sent to an address I don't recognise?
We send your code to the email address on your Storypark account, and show only part of it on the page. If it's not an address you can open, contact us at hello@storypark.com and we'll help you.
