Team drafts (networks only)
Admins can see all draft stories at services where they have admin access, giving leaders greater oversight of documentation in progress. Once enabled, admins get a new ‘team drafts’ tab containing every story in draft.
If you administer more than one service, you can switch between services from the team drafts tab.
Admins can also:
Filter by educator to see their work in progress
Duplicate a draft that they can then edit and publish.
Note: Team drafts give leaders better oversight of the documentation they’re responsible for. At the same time, draft stories can feel like unfinished work that educators aren’t ready to share yet. Team drafts are therefore optional. Network Administrators can enable them via their account manager or by emailing hello@storypark.com. We recommend telling your team what's changing and why before turning on team drafts.

Save an unfinished community post
Educators can now save an unfinished community post. This means they can return to it later, prepare something ahead of time, or ask a colleague to review it.
Saved posts appear in the new In-progress view. Educators with access can view them, while the educator who created the post and admin users can edit it. Families won't see a post until it's published. Available on web, with mobile to follow. Find out more.

Sign children in and out more than once a day
Families and educators can now sign a child in and out more than once a day. If a child has more than one booking, such as before and after school care, all of them show at sign in. Every sign in and out is recorded against the person who dropped off or collected the child, keeping your records accurate for compliance.
The kiosk also works offline, with a clear note for anything not yet saved.

Blur children's photos in emails
You can now blur children's profile photos and images in email notifications from Storypark. Images are still available within Storypark itself. This feature is off by default. Learn how to turn on image protection here.

Updates to the Storypark for Families app
Families may notice small icon design and label changes in the Storypark for Families app. Home is now Journal, Community is now Messages, and Me is now Settings.
If you have Storypark centre management (in Australia or Canada), bookings and payments are moving for your families from Me (now Settings) to a new Admin area.
They'll work just as they do today. Families get an in-app notification signposting them to the new area. Information about family app updates are here.

Improvements to Storypark Assist
Building on our summary of learning feature released in June, we made even more improvements to Storypark Assist in July. It’s our AI add-on that keeps your judgement at the centre, drafting only from what you share. You can now:
Set multiple curriculums and influences (e.g. Reggio Emilia, Inquiry learning and more) for Storypark Assist to consider and work from.
Link up to 40 stories and notes to help draft a new summary of learning or story, up from 25.
Know before drafting whether you've linked enough past documentation to support a strong summary of learning.
Storypark Assist now suggests titles for drafts.
Turn on a free 7-day trial if you're an independent service. If you're part of an network of services, speak to your Account Manager or email hello@storypark.com about activating a trial of Storypark Assist.

Story drafting and story review features added to Storypark Assist
Storypark Assist now asks thoughtful pedagogically aligned questions about a learning moment and why it mattered, then builds a draft from what you shared for you to further edit and refine. Our unique approach makes the process of writing a learning story much easier, without cutting corners on quality. Improvements to incident reporting
Incident reports came to the Storypark for Educators app on Android for the first time, with key improvements to iOS too. Your team can report incidents straight from the app, add internal notes that stay private from families, and record affected areas on a child diagram. Where you've enabled it, your team can also add signatures and upload photos, and families can view and sign reports through the Storypark for Families app.

It's easier to show how a child's learning connects over time
Link stories to other stories and to child notes. Links can be added while a story is still in draft. Create a goal in a child note and link it to related stories to build a picture of how a child's learning has progressed over time.

Greater visibility of plans for multi-site customers
Admins at a network of services can now assign a "planning admin" role to service admins in Multi-site Manager.
Planning admins can see all plans, including private ones and those from educators who've left the service so children's documentation stays safe and accessible, even when your team changes.
