How to add a new child
Children are added from the Manage Children page by admin educators. Non-admin educators can view child records but aren’t able to add children.
As an admin educator, you’ll need to be logged in to Storypark on a web browser to add children to your service.
From the Children tab tap on Manage
Tap Add child
When creating a new child's profile you'll be prompted to add enrolment details:
Start date: This is the date the child is expected to start and will automatically be set to the current day.
End date: This is the date the child is expected to finish at your service. This is optional and can be edited later. A child's profile is not automatically made Inactive on this date.
After adding the initial details, you can choose Save and edit to go to the child’s profile where you can add further information on their Details page.
Editing a child’s enrolment details
From the Enrolment tab within a child's profile, you can edit any of the enrolment details by tapping the pencil icon on the right-hand side of the information you want to edit including start and end dates, their regular days, and any rooms they are in.
Changes to their start and/or end dates will change their enrolment status badge.
Editing a child’s settings
From the Settings tab within a child's profile, you can edit their story settings by tapping the pencil icon on the right-hand side of the information you want to edit.
Making a child's profile active
A child's profile automatically becomes Active on their Start date (this is dependent upon having enough spaces available on your subscription).
If the child hasn't started yet, but you would like an active profile beforehand you can make their profile active from the Scheduled tab by tapping the toggle under Active on the right-hand side of the child.
If a child is starting earlier than their start date you can find them in the Scheduled tab and edit their start date.
You can also make a child’s profile active from within the child’s profile by tapping on the Settings tab and selecting Make active now.
Why hasn’t a profile become active on their start date?
If you don't have enough spaces for the child's profile to become active you'll see an alert in their profile and on the Current tab, and will need to adjust your subscription or inactivate other children's profiles first.
On a child's profile:
From the Current tab:
You can adjust your subscription from the Account page.
Making a child's profile inactive
On a child's profile, their Settings tab will show whether they are Active or Inactive. You’ll also see if they have an active profile from the enrolments tabs Active, Scheduled, Finished.
To make a child's profile inactive tap the Make inactive now button on the child's Settings tab.
You'll see an alert for any children with a Finished enrolment who still have an active profile:
On the Finished tab:
On the child's profile:
