⛔️ The instructions listed in this article are only applicable to admin educators who are only connected to one independent service.
If you are:
Connected to a service that is part of a multi-site network organisation; or
Connected to more than one service; or
Connected to child profiles as a family member;
Please contact us on hello@storypark.com and we will be able to assist.
If you receive a response from our AI support agent, Fin, select the "Talk to a person" option to make sure that your message comes through to our team.
When cancelling your service subscription on Storypark, there are two options:
Put your subscription on pause temporarily (e.g. if your service is closed for a long holiday)
Cancel your subscription and permanently delete the service account (e.g. your service has closed down and you no longer need Storypark)
Temporarily cancel your subscription (pause)
If you would like to pause your subscription temporarily, please take a read of the instructions here: Pausing your subscription
Permanently cancel your subscription and delete your service from Storypark
If you are an admin educator for your service, you can delete a service's account on Storypark.
To permanently cancel your Storypark subscription and delete your service from Storypark, you need to make sure that you are the only admin educator connected to the service - either by making all other educators a non-admin educator, or by removing all the other educators from the service.
Once you have done this, navigate to your service's Account page. This can be found by tapping the settings cog in the top right-hand corner of the website:
At the bottom of your Account page, click on I'd like to cancel my Storypark account:
Read the warning carefully about what will be deleted. It should indicate that your service will be deleted.
Click the ‘Cancel my account’ button at the bottom of the warning:
This will delete your own profile, along with the service's account.
💡 Once you click Cancel my account, you will lose access to your own account and the service instantly. Make sure you have all the work downloaded that you want to keep, and that other educators at your service have done the same before you go through with this process.
If you are also the only admin family member of a child profile, the child profile will also be deleted.
What if I want to keep my user account, but delete my service?
You may like to continue having access to your user account, even without it being connected to an active service. This means you can continue to access the work you have saved in your Educator Portfolio.
In this case, you will need to unsubscribe your service from its current subscription first, by following the same steps as pausing a subscription. This will give you access until the end of your current subscription period, while keeping your user account active.
When you are ready for the service to be deleted completely, email the Storypark support team (hello@storypark.com) and ask us to delete the service for you. If you receive a response from our AI support agent, Fin, select the "Talk to a person" option to make sure that your message comes through to our team.
