What are add-ons?
Add-ons allow services to customise their Storypark subscription by adding extra features. Once purchased, all educators at the service will automatically have access to the add-on feature.
Add-ons are purchased in addition to the standard per child cost for Storypark and are billed as a flat fee at the same cadence as the service's existing subscription - either monthly or annual. They'll also renew alongside the service's existing subscription (unless removed before renewal).
How to purchase an add-on
Any Storypark Admin can purchase an add-on for their service from the Account page.
From the Storypark website, select the settings cog at the top right-hand corner and Account from the drop-down menu:
On your service's Account page, you'll see an overview of your current subscription details, followed by all the details of your service's subscription that can be adjusted, the billing term, number of children, plan and below that Add-ons:
Select the tick box next to the add-on of choice and Update plan:
Note: The invoice total will show an estimate of the combined cost of the service's existing Storypark subscription and the add-on. If purchasing an add-on part way through an existing Storypark subscription, the service will only actually be charged a pro rata amount.
Once you've selected to upgrade your plan, you'll be taken to our billing system to confirm payment and the centre will have access to the add-on immediately.
How to remove an add-on
Any Storypark Admin can remove an add-on from their service from the Account page.
From the Storypark website, select the settings cog at the top right-hand corner and Account from the drop-down menu:
On your service's Account page, you'll see an overview of your current subscription details, followed by all the details of your service's subscription that can be adjusted, the billing term, number of children, plan and below that Add-ons:
Deselect the tick box next to the add-on to remove and Update plan:
Note: The invoice total will show an estimate of the combined cost of the service's existing Storypark subscription minus the add-on.
If removing an add-on part way through an existing Storypark subscription, the service retains access to the add-on until the base subscription renews.
Once you've selected to update your plan, the page will refresh with a confirmation banner at the top of the Account page, Your plan has been successfully updated and these changes will be included in your next scheduled invoice and the following message will appear underneath the add-on:

Q. Can my service test out add-on features before purchase?
A. Your service will need to purchase the add-on features to access them. If you'd like a demonstration of any add-on features before purchase you can book a short meeting with one of our team.
Q. How do add-ons appear in invoicing?
A. If purchased part way through an existing Storypark subscription, the service will receive an invoice with the pro rated charge. It will then be included as a seperate line item alongside invoicing for the service's existing Storypark subscription.
Q. What happens to educators' work if an add-on is removed?
A. Removing an add-on will not affect any live/published work. Educators will be able to use the feature until the subscription renews, when it will become unavailable.
