Portfolio plans are flexible spaces where you can set, plan and work towards your developmental goals, inquiry, appraisals or accreditation/registration as well as anything else related to your professional learning and development.
Add text, images, videos and documents to a plan
In a plan, hover over (or tap on a touch screen) any blank/grey cell to see your editing options.
Selecting 'Header' opens up a box where you can type a heading. These are generally used to the left or at the top of your plans for row or column headings.
Selecting 'Content' opens up an editor:
To add and format text, start typing in the text field. If you want to add any formatting, select the text and tap the bold, italic, • bullets, or numbered bullets icons above the text field.
To add images, videos and documents, select the camera icon to add images, the video camera to add video and the paperclip icon to add documents such as PDFs, Word docs, Powerpoints etc. As media items load you'll see a progress bar or a processing symbol. While these load you can carry on editing that cell and when they've loaded you can tap 'Save'. Once you leave the cell editor you'll see these media items loaded in the cell as thumbnails. Tapping on an image or a video opens it in a viewer that you can flick through and play any videos. Tapping on a document downloads it to your computer.
Link to portfolio stories and plans
In any plan, you can link to your portfolio stories and your other portfolio plans.
By default, your portfolio stories are private to you so linking to portfolio stories in a plan allows you to share them with your contributors. You might link to portfolio stories to show evidence of your practice or to show reflections on how you're working towards your goals.
If you're creating your inquiries, evaluations, observations or meetings as portfolio plans you might link to portfolio plans to connect these into your overall appraisal or accreditation plan.
In any cell, click on 'Link to stories/plans' and a window will open that lets you pick from all your portfolio stories and portfolio plans. Toggle the tabs at the top to see plans or stories:
Note: You can only link to stories and plans in your own portfolio, you cannot link to your service's stories or plans.
Select any number of stories or plans by clicking on them and when you click 'Done' they will show in the editor. When you've finished editing, click 'Save' and you'll see your links loaded in the planning cell. These links will be accessible to your contributors. If you link to a plan that is private to you it will show as being greyed out and your contributors will not be able to access it.
Changing a cell's colour
To change the colour of a cell, tap the dropdown icon in the top right of the cell, select 'Colour', choose your colour, then click Save.

Working with templates
If you start a plan from a network template, you might notice that some areas (eg. headings or instructional text) are uneditable. Network administrators can lock down areas within plans so that they can be sure that people are using consistent templates across the organisation. Learn more about working with templates.
