There are two ways to create a plan:

Note: The following information only applies to plans at a service. We also have help articles dedicated to portfolio planning.

Creating a plan from scratch

On your Open plans page (in either your service's or room's planning area) tap Create a plan:

You'll then be asked what kind of plan you wish to start, a blank plan or a plan from one of your templates:

The share setting of the plan will be pre-selected to share with all educators by default. The plan can still be started privately if a shared plan is not appropriate, simply click 'private plan, to be shared later' to create a private plan.

Choosing Blank (empty plan) will open a fresh new plan with nothing in it:

You will be asked to name your plan before you can edit it.

From here you can begin filling out your plan. At any point, you can save it as a template. Learn more about templates.

Important: Each plan has a media limit of 125 items.

This means across the cells and comments in each plan, there can be any combination of up to 125 images and/or videos. Once the limit is reached, the camera and video buttons on cells and comments will be greyed out and unable to be selected.

Creating a plan from a template

You can create a plan from one of your templates in the same way. On your Open plans page tap Create a plan and when asked what kind of plan you wish to start select the name of one of your templates.

The share setting of the plan will be pre-selected to share with all educators by default. The plan can still be started privately if a shared plan is not appropriate, simply click 'private plan, to be shared later' to create a private plan.

A pre-populated plan based on that template will open:

From here you can begin filling out your plan.

When you save your plan, it will save it to the group that you started it in. If you started it in your service's planning area you will see your saved plan listed here. If you started it within a room, you will see it in your room plans list.
