Advice and answers from the Storypark Team

With planning notes, stories and notes can be linked together, enabling continuity and observation of the learning journey.

Examples of how you might use this feature:

  • Link one plan or story to another or an original observation.
  • Show how you plan to support a child’s particular interests and development.
  • Create 6-monthly goals with parents and show the child’s progression on each goal through individually documented stories over time.
  • Link parent feedback to an observation.
  • Note potential next steps relating to a particular story.

Creating a new planning note and linking it to a story you've just created

Storypark makes it easy to create a note instantly after publishing a new story you've written.

After publishing your story you will be taken directly to your story and from there you can click the 'Add a planning note' link in the sidebar to open a pop up box where you can create a new planning post.

The child in your story will already be selected in the new planning note and the story already linked so all you need to do is enter a description in the text area before posting your planning note.
