The Teacher M8 app helps educators manage their daily routines and interactions more smoothly using an improved login experience and simplified navigation. Here’s what you need to know about the updated login process, how to switch users, and what to expect if the app updates automatically.

New login experience

The Teacher M8 app now uses a simplified two-step login flow:

  1. Enter your centre's PIN code – This is case sensitive.

  2. Educator login – You’ll no longer see “Educator Login” on the screen. Just tap Login and enter your email and password.

First-time setup (per device)

  • The first time someone logs in on a new device, an admin email address and password are needed.

  • After this, educators can use their 4-digit PIN to log in (after entering their email and password once on that device).

  • This means each educator needs to log in with their email/password the first time they use a new or shared device.


Switching users

To switch between educators on a shared device:

  1. Tap the profile icon.

  2. Select Switch User – you'll see a list of educators to choose from.

  3. The selected educator can log in with their 4-digit PIN (if they’ve logged in on that device before).

Note: The Staff Lounge is no longer available. The Switch User option now replaces this feature.


Accessing the family kiosk

To open the family sign-in/out kiosk:

  1. Tap the three lines in the top-left corner of the app.

  2. Select Family Kiosk.

You’ll need to re-enter the centre PIN code to open the kiosk or when exiting educator profiles.


Troubleshooting

If your device auto-updates the Teacher M8 app, you may see one of these errors:

  • "PIN login failed"

  • "User details not found"

In this case, please uninstall and reinstall the app. This step resolves most update-related login issues.

If you see "Your session has expired, please log in to continue" an admin educator may need to exit the app and log in with the centre pin, admin user name and password.
